Academic Qualifications for Uttara Bank
01. Assistant Officer (General)
(a) Bachelor Bachelor (Hons) Degree from any recognized Educational Institute.
(b) The candidates must have GPAICGPA at least 4.00 on 5.00 point scale in the examinations of SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations and GPA. CGPA at least 3.00 on 4.00 point scale or at least 3.75 on 5.00 point scale in the Bachelor Bachelor (Hons) examination.
02. Assistant Officer (Cash)
(a) Bachelor Bachelor (Hons) Degree from any recognized Educational Institute.
(b) The candidates must have GPAICGPA at least 3.00 on 5.00 point scale in the examinations of SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations and GPA/CGPA at least 2.00 on 4.00 point scale or at least 2.50 on 5.00 point scale in the Bachelor (Hons) examination
Age Limit
Not over 30 years as on 30th June, 2022.
Period of probation/training, confirmation and Salary for Uttara Bank
There will be a 01 (one) year period of probation training which will start from the date of joining in the Bank’s service. An Assistant Officer (General) will be paid monthly consolidated emolument of Tk. 28,000/- (Taka twenty eight thousand) only and an Assistant Officer (Cash) will be paid monthly consolidated emolument of Tk. 26,000/- (Taka twenty six thousand) only during the probation period.
After successful completion of the probation period, an Assistant Officer (General) will be confirmed in the scale of pay of Tk 15000-1000X8-23000-1500X15-455001- with other allowances benefits as admissible in the grade and an Assistant Officer (Cash) will be confirmed in the scale of pay of Tk 14000-950X8-21600-1250X1540350/-with other allowances/benefits as admissible in the grade.

01. Any employee of Uttara Bank Limited or any person who has been engaged as Assistant Officer (General) (on contract basis Assistant Officer (Cash) (on contract basis) in the Bank having requisite qualifications may apply through proper channel, if he/she is not above 35 (thirty five) years of age as on 30-06-2022.
02. An Assistant Officer (Cash) of the Bank having Bachelor Degree can also apply for the post of Assistant Officer (General) if he/she completes at least 01 (one) year of service in the Bank at his/her present grade as on 30-06-2022 and if he/she is not above 35 (thirty five) years of age as on 30-06-2022.
03. The sons daughters of the employees of Uttara Bank Limited may apply if they have requisite qualifications.
04. Only short listed candidates will be notified for the written test/viva-voce through our Website and by sending SMS at their respective mobile numbers. The short list will be prepared by taking a MCQ Test. If no short list is done, the eligible candidates among those from whom applications have been received will be notified for the written test/viva-voce.

History of Uttara Bank Limited
Uttara Bank Limited celebrated 50th anniversary of its Banking Service in 2015. This well established and ancient bank has a rich history. With the initiation of some renown bengali businessmen it was established to facilitate the disadvantaged people of the then East Pakistan and started its banking operation officially on 28th January of 1965 in name of “Eastern Banking Corporation” with four branches which soon reached 60 just before the independence. During Non-cooperation movement in 1971, this bank performed the treasury function of East Bengal.
After independence, Eastern Banking Corporation was nationalized and renamed as “Uttara Bank” and resumed its banking operation from 26th March 1972. Embarking on a progressive journey, Uttara Bank continued to grow and expand in the successive years. It took the name “Uttara Bank Ltd.” after privatization from June,1983 and became one of the largest private sector bank of Bangladesh. In the later years.
Uttara Bank became the trend setter in the banking industry, acquiring lion’s share in inward foreign remittances and a major market share in loans to large, medium and small industries, traders and farmers.
